ASUE Hosts Armenian Software Days
On November 14, as part of the annual Armenian Software Days event—now in its fourth year—ASUE hosted ArmSoft, one of its key partners.
Anush Mikaelyan, Manager of the Large Enterprises Automation Department at Armenian Software and lecturer in ASUE Financial Accounting Department, shared the company’s 37-year development history with students, highlighting job opportunities and benefits. ArmSoft employs over 250 people, including PhD holders and lecturers from various Armenian universities, including ASUE. The company prioritizes continuous professional development; employees regularly take exams, participate in training sessions, and attend courses.
“Our employees are mainly programmers and economists, with over 90% of economists being ASUE students and graduates,” emphasized Mikaelyan, herself an ASUE alumna.
According to Mikaelyan, the company ranks first in Armenia by the number of certified specialists in the IT field, aligned with the company’s slogan: “A strong organization requires a strong team.”
“Every member of our team does their best to achieve our shared goal—to provide the best solutions to our clients,” Mikaelyan added in her speech.
Through their partnership with ArmSoft, ASUE students receive free, hands-on training focused on practical knowledge. Over the past four years, more than 300 students have participated in ArmSoft Days, over 150 students have been invited for interviews, more than 110 have attended a free two-month training course, and over 20 have received job offers.
Ogsen Papazyan, Head of the SME Automation Subdivision at ArmSoft and lecturer in ASUE’s Finance Department, introduced attendees to the company’s infrastructure, from development to sales and ongoing support. He proudly noted that the winners of ASUE Best Student competition have been hired by ArmSoft.
Verzhine Tutyan, who won the title of Best Student in Accounting and Auditing in 2024, shared her success story and her current role as a Junior Specialist in the SME Automation Department in ArmSoft.
The event included a break for collecting resumes from participants to recruit new team members. The meeting continued with a quiz, and the winners received valuable prizes.
