Entrepreneurship Summer Festival 2020

Dear students,

the American University of Armenia’s (AUA) Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Center (EPIC) in partnership with EU4Business Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia project and other universities in Armenia invites students, experienced entrepreneurs, or anyone with a different background with interest in startups and entrepreneurship to join the Entrepreneurship Summer Festival 2020 (ESF2020).

The festival has combined lectures, workshops, talks, and seminars both in Armenian and English that will be held from 17-23 August, 2020. The ESF2020 offers an opportunity to choose a track or only a couple of lectures of interest, to get venture knowledge and career inspiration from the top thought leaders in the Armenian ecosystem.

The theme of the ESF2020 is Reimagining Your Future. This theme will seek to promote the philosophy of career and professional flexibility – the idea that one can modify and redirect their career trajectories while at the same time considering the possibility of taking the entrepreneurial route. The ESF2020 will close The Future Innovator competition, which will offer technical and pitching mentorship to startup teams or individuals. The winner will receive prizes from the supporting partners: EU4Business Technology Development for Armenia project, PicsArt Armenia, and Webb Fontaine Armenia.

The ESF2020 is supported by the EU4Business Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia project, which is co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by German Development Cooperation GIZ through the Private Sector Development and TVET South Caucasus Programme. The project is part of the EU4Business initiative of the European Union.

The ESF2020 is organized by the Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Center which is the American University of Armenia’s on-campus startup incubator that helps the students, alumni, and other entrepreneurs to advance their ventures from idea to success. EPIC provides an ecosystem for emerging entrepreneurs that consists of first-class facilities and collaboration space, programs and events, and a network of mentors, advisors, and investors.

The ESF2020 University partners are the American University of Armenia Zaven & Sonia Akian College of Science & Engineering, Brusov State University, Armenian National Agrarian University, Russian-Armenian University, National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Armenian State University of Economics.
