Job Description

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

In order to improve the quality, ASUE is planning to carry out internal evaluation of university potential and is initiating a process of continuous improvement. This involves systematic research, internal audit, assessment of strengths and weaknesses, recommendations, evaluation of the work and ongoing process of improvement. Process of improvement is associated with all units and is an important prerequisite for the further programmatic and infrastructure accreditation.

As part of the improvement program ASUE forms an expert group to assess the feasibility of the University, to analyze ways to activity improvement, to plan the improvement actions, to evaluate the effectiveness of actions.  

I. PURPOSE

Description of this work establishes a procedure for the formation of an expert group to assess the capabilities of the University, to analyze ways to ASEU activity improvement, to plan the improvement actions, to evaluate the effectiveness of actions, continuous monitoring of improvement process.

III. Circle of implementation of works

The expert group is required to realize the following work in a timely manner.

  • To implement an audit and evaluation of capabilities of ASUE units and make a report on a set schedule.
  • To verify compliance of educational programs with the established criteria and make a report on a set schedule.
  • To monitor and evaluate the formation, implementation (the teaching, learning and assessment) and evaluation of educational programs, make a report.
  • To assess the educational needs of stakeholders (students, teachers, parents) and the abilities to meet them.
  • To provide guidance in the process of programmatic accreditation.
  • To implement infrastructure introspection of the University on a set schedule.

The expert provides the draft report to ASEU Quality Assurance Division;the latter assesses the expert report. In the case of errors, materials are returned for revision.

IV. REPORTING

The expert provides the draft report to ASEU QualityAssuranceDivision;the latter assesses the expert report. In the case of errors, materials are returned for revision. After a review of QualityAssuranceDivision, the reports are offered to departments and administrative bodies. Analyzes and reports are discussed at the Council for Quality Assurance for further appropriate action planning and decision-making, and then are submitted for approval to the ASEU Scientific Council.

Expected results

The expert is required to carry out systematic evaluations and respective reports. The duties of the expert include implementation of infrastructure self-analyses of the University based on established criteria and standards, as well as consultation and systematic evaluation of educational programs in the process of program accreditation.

Works are carried out in the Armenian.

VI. OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

ASEU undertakes:

  • to provided technical assistance for analysis of materials,
  • to provide appropriate working conditions,
  • to perform the examination, evaluation of materials and provision of objections,
  • to pay for services.

EXPERTS undertakes:

  • to carry out an audit and evaluation of abilities of University departments and report on a set schedule,
  • to verify compliance of educational programs with the criteria and to make a report according to the schedule and criteria,
  • to monitor and evaluate the design, implementation of educational programs (teaching, learning and assessment), draw up a report,
  • to assess the educational needs of stakeholders (students, teachers, parents) and the ability to meet them,
  • to provide consultation in the process of program accreditation,
  • to implement infrastructure self-analyses due the date,
  • to prepare and provide reports on evaluations and analyzes to the QualityAssuranceDivision,
  • to provide services with appropriate quality,
  • to remove all identified deficiencies within 5 days on request

VII. REMUNERATION  

The employee's salary for a month is 50,000 drams.

VIII. QUALIFICATIONS

The expert should:

  • Be the representative of the faculty and administrative staff.
  • Have appropriate knowledge of the internal and external processes of quality assurance in education.
  • Have to conduct applied research and analyzes.
  • Be able to apply the tools of statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, MS Excel, etc.)
  • Be able to apply the tools of strategic analysis (e.g. matrix)

IX. SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection of the experts is carried out on competitive bases by the commission created for this purpose, based on the autobiography (CV) and interview.

The documents are accepted in the ASEU Human Resource Management Division from April 2 to April 11, 2015.
