A competition among young macroeconomists from Central Bank of Armenia

     Central Bank of Armenia announces a competition among young macroeconomists to work for the Monetary Policy Department.  
Young professionals holding university degree in economics are eligible to take part in the competition and should
•    have knowledge in the following fields: Macroeconomics (advanced), Monetary Theory (advanced), Mathematical Modeling (intermediate), Mathematical Statistics and Econometrics (intermediate), Banking (intermediate), Banking Statistics (intermediate), Microeconomics (intermediate), Accounting (introductory), Banking Legislation and Regulatory Framework (introductory).
•    Know Armenian, Russian, English (excellent knowledge)
•    Computer Skills (MS Office, knowledge of econometric/ statistical and mathematical softwares)

    Graduate and undergraduate students in their final year of school can also apply for the competition.
    Elected candidates will take part in the following activities within the framework of a temporary contract of employment:
•    Analysis of macroeconomic indicators and macroeconomic development
•    Short-term forecasting of macroeconomic indicators with econometric models
•    Modeling of interconnections of macroeconomic indicators with structural economic mathematical models.  
•    Assist in the preparation of  statements, announcements, publications and articles, ensuring open and transparent operation of the Central Bank of Armenia.
