Invitation to the Conference

Foreign Relations Division of ASUE International Relations Department submitted  announcement which is presented below:

Caucasus Association of Regional Science announces a Conference on Institutions, Governance and Regional Development to take place in Yerevan, Armenia, on September 5-6, 2019. The conference sessions will take place at Armenian State University of Economics.

This conference is aimed at providing a scientific platform for academics and young researchers interested in spatial economics and planning, regional and local development and related issues, which opens an unique opportunity of networking and exchanging ideas on ongoing research in the field.

The key topics of the conference are: Smart cities in the innovation age, Smart Cities: Governing, Modelling and Analysing the Transition, Urban and Regional Planning Models and GIS, Quality and Inequality in Urban and Regional Systems, Creative Capital, Information and Communication Technologies, and Economic Growth in Smart Cities, Modeling Regional Growth and Innovation, The Future of the New Urban World.

Keynote speakers of the Conference are: Mr. Peter Nijkamp (Vrije Universiteit, Netherlands); Ms. Karima Kourtit (Vrije Universiteit, Netherlands); Mr. Roberto Camagni (Politecnico di Milano,Italy); Mr. Tomaz Dentinho (University of Azores,Portugal) and Dr. John Carruthers (George Washington University).

Applications are expected for submission until the deadline set as 15th August, 2019, accompanied with AMD 15.000 Standard Participation Fee. Applicants shall be master students, Ph.D. students, researchers or lecturers.

Participants will be selected by the Scientific committee primarily taking into account the research experience and motivations for participation in the Conference (extended abstract), as well as for for having a research career.
