About us
ASUE Library was founded in October 1975 at the same time as the University was founded. The first head of the Library was Donara Palanjyan. From 1994 to 2012 the Library was headed by Venera Avalyan, and since 2013 the head of the Library has been Armine Hovhannisyan. In January 2008 the Library was replaced from ASUE central building to the N5 newly built building of the University.
Now the book fund of the Library is 193969 units. The main fund of the Library includes textbooks, conference materials, magazines, dictionaries, atlases, as well as the dissertations defended in the professional council of ASUE and their abstracts, and electronic publications. The manual service of the Library fund is carried out by one scientific and two student reading halls. Since 2013 the KOHA library program has been used for digitizing the main fund of the Library, creating an electronic library and an electronic directory. From 2016 Online reader service is also provided with the same program.
The modern service is supported by the QR library located in ASUE yard. It allows university students to download electronic versions of books without visiting the library. The QR library includes both basic educational literature and additional professional manuals.
UN Corner. The UN Literature Corner of the ASUE was opened in April 2013 within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between the Yerevan Office of the UN Department of Public Information and the ASUE.
