Online Thematic Discussion Within the Jean Monnet Module

On December 21, another round table entitled "EU Investment Package for Armenia" was held at ASUE within the frames of Jean Monnet Module “EU Politics, Policies and Polity” (EUPPP).

Representatives of the academic staff of the Armenian State University of Economics, state structures, ASUE students took part in the online discussion.

Albert Hayrapetyan, Senior Researcher in ASUE AMBERD Research Center, Lecturer at the Chair of International Economic Relations, presented the agenda of the round table, using the key directions of the topic.

Zoya Tadevosyan, Professor at the Chair of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Sciences, spoke about the improvement of the investment field, made emphases, in particular, outlining directions for more effective implementation of the EU investment package. Tatev Vardanyan, Lecturer at the same Chair, spoke about the interaction between migration and the investment environment.

Dr. Andranik Muradyan from the University of Warsaw touched upon the main reasons that prevent Europeans from investing in Armenia.

Evgenya Hayriyan, a representative of the Artsakh Research Institute, also took part in the discussion. The latter considered how Artsakh can be involved in this project, what benefit it can acquire.

While being interviewed Albert Hayrapetyan summed up the outcomes of the round table and mentioned that the discussion was quite effective, the numerous solutions of the speakers can be applied in other research programs as well.

Another round table is planned to be held in the next half of the year.
