Mass House Building as a Mean to Boost Economic Growth and Inclusive Development
The research purpose was to assess development opportunities of internal demand and export incentives in RA, identify comparative advantages and analyze current results from prioritized economic sectors, further growth potential as well as new approaches for growth. As a distinct purpose was to assess mass construction, particularly boost of mass house building as a way for economic growth, although it is considered one of criticized scenarios for economic growth. This research explores relationships between construction sector and other sectors of Armenian economy, impact of changes in construction volume on economic activeness as well as consequential volume changes in other related sectors as well as international practice. This research also studies housing demand in Yerevan and regions, analyzes obstacles and possibilities to meet demand and its overall impact on economy.
