THE ARMENIAN ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION INVITES

THE  ARMENIAN  ECONOMIC  ASSOCIATION  2012  meeting  will  be jointly  hosted  by  Yerevan  State  University  and  the  American  University  of  Armenia  on October  13-14, 2012.

Scholars,  graduate  students  and  researchers  are  invited  to  present  their  research  in all  areas  of  economics. Papers  may  address  the  European  sovereign  debt  crisis,   the  aftermath  of the  global  financial  crisis,  growth  and  development  issues  in  Armenian  and  the  South-Caucasus,  regional  trade patterns,  or  any  other  topic  representing  current  advances  in economics.  Both  theoretical  and  empirical  works  are  welcome.  The  language  of the  conference  is  Armenian  and  English, and  sessions  will be  organized  by  the  following  fields:

*Mathematical  and Quantitative  Methods

*Microeconomics;   Industry  Studies

*Macroeconomics  and  Monetary  Economics

*International  Economics

*Financial  Economics

*Public  Economics

*Economics  of  Transition and  Development  Economics

Please  send  an  abstract  of  less  than  500  words  to  annual2012@aea.am  by  June  30^th.  Submissions  should  include:  title  of  paper, name(s)  of  author(s),  affiliation, and  an  email  address.  In  the  abstract,  please  identify  the  research  question, methods, and  outcomes (obtained  or  expected)  of the  research.

Authors  will  be  informed  of the  acceptance  of  their  prposals  by  July  30^th, 2012. The  final  draft  is  required  by  September  15^th, in  time to  post  online  before  the  conference. Best student  Papers will  be  considered  for  publication  in the  Armenian  Journal  of  Economics  subject  to peer  review.

The  aim  of the  conference  is to  bring  together  scholars,  researchers  and  students  to  promote  the  exchange  of  ideas and  advance  economics  scholarship.
