An unprecedented opportunity for ASUE students to participate in EMERGE Tech conference to be held in Yerevan free of charge

Dear ASUE members, as we have earlier informed, EMERGE international tech conference will take place in Yerevan on June 1 and 2. More than 2000 IT sphere representatives from the USA, Western and Eastern Europe, Balkan states and Central Asia will participate in the event. Speakers are from TechCrunch, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Snap Inc., Pinterest, Google Deepmind, Glovo and other international companies.

Mike Butcher (TechCrunch, Techfugees), Alyona Doletskaya (former editor-in-chief of Vogue Russia, Interview Russia), Davit Baghdasaryan (Krisp), Stayan Yankov (PERFORM: The Unsexy Truth about (Startup) Success - author of the book, former coach of Startup Wise Guys), Chris Farber (Openface), street art artist Sergey Navasardyan as well as co-founder of the Armenia unicorn Picsart, Mikael Vardanyan.

Thanks to the cooperation between the University of Economics and organizers of EMERGE conference, up to 30 ASUE students will be able to participate in the event free of charge. Students will be chosen as a result of competition.

To participate in the competition, you should

  • Form a student team of 3 people
  • Develop a startup idea
  • Register till May 21, 2022 at the following link and mention names and surnames of team members and short description of the idea
  • Send presentation of the startup idea to externalaffairs@asue.am till May 24 and include information on the following:
  • Problem to be solved by the startup
  • How the startup will solve that problem
  • Target customers and market volume
  • Analysis of competitors and competitive advantage of the startup
  • Budget
  • Team member capabilities.

Competition commission will choose the winning teams and the members will be able to participate in the conference.
