Acting Head of the Chair - Anahit Melkumyan, Doctor of Economics, Professor

The Chair of Business Administration of the Armenian State University of Economics has been established in 2021 on the basis of the Chairs of Business Organization and Labor Economics.

Currently, the Chair implements "Human Resources Management" and "Project Management" Master's degree programs. Training through these programs contributes to the growth of graduates' competitiveness in the labor market, their professional advancement.

A number of subjects taught by the Chair, including "Labor Economics", "Human Resource Management", as well as "Business Introduction", "Business Planning" and "Business Evaluation", are taught at full-time and part-time Bachelor’s degree of different Faculties.

History

In 1991, by the decree of the Scientific Board of the Yerevan Institute of National Economy, the Chairs of Management and Labor Economics were formed on the basis of the personnel potential of the Chair of Labor Economics and Sociology. In 1992, the Chair of Labor Economics and Sociology was renamed into the Chair of Labor Economics.

H. POGHOSYAN, Doctor of Sciences, Professor /1973-1991, B. BABAYAN, Ph.D in Economics, Professor /1991-1992/, M. PETROSYAN, Doctor of Sciences, Professor /1992-2018/, A. MELKUMYAN, Doctor of Sciences, Professor /2018-2021/ have greatly contributed to the formation of the Chair.

Chair of Business Organization of the Armenian State University of Economics has been established in 2002, and was renamed into Commerce and Business Organization in 2014, then in 2016 on the basis of reformation of the Chairs of Commodity Research and Technology.
