The Chair of Marketing of ASUE was established in 1975. Previously it was called Logistics of Economy and planning, later- Chair of Material Resource Planning, and later renamed the Chair of Marketing.ChairsSh. S. SAHAKYAN, 1975-1982S. S. Under the Bachelor's program, marketing specialists are trained in full-time (4 years) and part-time (5 years) forms of education.

According to the Master's program, specialists are trained in full-time (2 years) and part-time (2.5 years) forms of training in the following specializations:

  • Marketing communications
  • Marketing research.

At the same time, the course "Fundamentals of Marketing" is taught to students of 2nd-5th years of full-time and part-time studies at all Faculties of ASUE.

In 2013, the author's team of the Chair published the textbook "Fundamentals of Marketing" (705 pages). The exams are passed by computer tests. In order to improve the educational process in the undergraduate program in 2016, the Chair published the textbook "Relationship Marketing in Consumer Markets" (authors - Doctor of Sciences, Professor A.E. Zakaryan and Ph.D in Economics, Assistant Professor G. A. Papoyan, 236 pages) and lecture materials “Relationship Marketing in Business Markets” (author - Ph.D., Assistant Professor V.G. Grigoryan, 151 pages).

In order to organize the educational process in the Master’s degree with the use of modern approaches and methods, in 2012, the lecturers of the Chair published the concept and programs of courses in accordance with the modules of specialization for the Master's educational programs "Marketing", "Marketing Communications", "Marketing Research" in the specialty " Marketing".

The faculty of the Chair, graduate students, students take an active part in various conferences, the results of which are printed in the form of articles (30-40 per year), and also participate in the implementation of grant programs.

In recent years, 8 graduate students and applicants have defended their candidate dissertations at the Chair, and currently 17 graduate students and applicants are engaged in research work.

The staff of the Chair annually publishes about 30 scientific papers.
