asue.am talked to ASUE acting Rector Diana Galoyan about this initiative.
- Dear Mrs. Galoyan, how did the idea for this project come about?
- First, it should be noted that the main guideline for modernization of our educational system should be the exchange of practical skills along with basic academic knowledge. In this respect, perhaps, there is an gaps in our educational system, which we want to fill in. On December 6, 2019, ASUE hosted a workshop devoted to productive cooperation between University and labor market, which was attended by more than 30 employers, representatives of large organizations, personnel management specialists. This workshop served its purpose by enabling us to identify the needs of employers, identify their expectations from our alumni, and clarify what skills employees need in our labor market. ASUE Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning Division summed up the outcomes, formed a list of these so-called Soft Skills and prepared the courses accordingly.
- Who will held the courses?
- The best and experienced trainers will exchange the necessary skills. I would like to point out that we also do a great job in terms of teaching and staff training. We also have initiatives in this regard and will soon announce the launch of a training course on research methods.
-What can students expect from the completion of these courses?
-Our goal is to make ASUE students, especially graduates, more competitive specialists, who will find themselves in the labor market.
