International Conference “Institutions, Governance and Regional Development” was Summed up

The 2nd day of international conference “Institutions, Governance and Regional Development” launched yesterday at ASUE was full of interesting reports touching upon problems of regional economy, regional and community development, innovative ideas for promoting regional economy.

Foreign and local researchers discussed current topics, analyzing them and outlining paths to economic development.

Here are the reports presented on the 2nd day:

Roberto Camagni (Politecnico University Milano, Italy): “Territorial Capital, Institutions and Regional Development”,

Karima Kourtit (JADS, The Netherlands): “Smart Cities and Big Data: Challenges and Opportunities”,

Timothy Barrett (University of Georgia): “Smart Privacy in a Small City”.

Then round table discussion on “Smart Cities in the New Urban World” was held by Tomaz Dentinho.

Reports by Armenian researchers drew the attention of the attendees. Here are the researchers and reports presented:

Mariam Yeghyan (CANDLE Synchrotro Research Institute): “The Socio-Economic Impact of Research Infrastructures in the Context of Regional Development and Innovation”,

Arpenik Muradyan, Vanine Yeranosyan, Erik Grigoryan, Tsovinar Karapetyan (ASUE) “The Evaluation of and Expectations from the Community Consolidation Processes of the RA”.

Let’s recall the international conference was organized in collaboration with ASUE and the Caucasus Association of Regional Science. International Relations Division of ASUE Foreign Relations Department coordinates the conference at ASUE.
