Arman Gulyan, lecturer of ASUE Chair of Physical Education, ES and CD, and Erik Khachatryan, a freshman of the Faculty of Marketing and Business Organization, have returned with gold medals from the international powerlifting (power triathlon) tournament held on March 5 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

In the tournament, in which the teams of Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran participated, Arman Gulyan, a member of the Armenian team, became the absolute winner of the tournament in the +140 kg weight class (the result was 210 kg). 20-year-old Erik Khachatryan (67.5 kg) was also awarded the title of a champion. The Armenian athletes went to Georgia headed by the President of the Powerlifting Federation of Armenia and the head coach of the national team, Gagik Saroyan.

It should be noted that Erik Khachatryan, who is a three-time European champion, a multiple record holder of the Duke's Book and the Guinness Book, a master of sports, also got the opportunity to participate in the world championship of powerlifting to be held in the USA in the fall.

We wish success to our athletes, hoping to hear about the new victories.
