Lecture by Edinburgh Napier University Professor at ASUE

According to the reached agreement between Armenian State University of Economics and Edinburgh Napier University within the frames of “Erasmus +” program, Kiril Sharapov, professor of the above mentioned University met representatives of ASUE academic staff and held a lecture on “Teaching Methods at Edinburgh Napier University”. The professor referred to his working biography stressing the scientific and research activity. Then he drew attention of the audience to the latest teaching methods in higher education institutions. The key of the report was the student-centered learning model where the teamwork, critical thinking, and research component are highlighted. The speaker noted that the lecturer should, of course, develop all these qualities: directing and assisting in learning, analyzing, thinking. Kirill Sharapov also spoke about the features of online learning sharing the experience of Napier University to ASUE scholar-educators. ASUE professors presented their observations on the implementation of the latest methods and active discussion was held.
