Informational Meeting and Workshop at ASUE Yeghegnadzor Branch

On November 10-11, ASUE employees – Nerses Gevorgyan, Head of Quality Assurance Division, Maria Petrosyan  and Ani Baghdasaryan, Leading Specialists of the  same  Division, go on conducting informational meetings  and workshop within the  frames  of Tempus program of EU “Enhancing Students Participation in Quality Assurance in Armenian HE” (ESPAQ, №544261-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-BE-TEMPUS-SMGR) planned  for  students  and the collaborators dealing with quality assurance  sector, and  have  been  hosted  at ASUE Yeghegnadzor  Branch.

ASUE Quality Assurance  Division informs  that during  the informational meeting aimed  at  informing  about  the done work and achievements within the frames of the ESPAQ project, according to the working packages the content of the program and the done work, the main results, which are applicable to the expansion of students' participation in quality assurance processes  were presented.

In particular,  “Student Handbook”  was developed  and  published  after the informational  meeting on “Role and Participation of Students in QA Processes”   and the course planned  for retraining student-experts held  within the  frames  of the working third package entitled “Development of Students’ Capacity in the Field of Quality Assurance (QA)”.

The manual provides a general overview of the concepts  of quality of education, the quality assurance procedures in the higher education system, the role of such bodies in the internal and external quality assurance processes, such as the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA) and the Armenian National Student Association (ANSA). In addition, the manual provides a useful context for the participation of students in Armenian higher education quality assurance processes and is intended for students and student representations, as well as collaborators dealing with quality assurance sector.

During the workshop, ASUE employees presented the standards and guidelines of quality assurance, the stages of accreditation in the European Higher Education Area (ECTS), ASUE internal quality assurance system and quality cycle structure, the experience of involving students in quality assurance processes at our University
