Activities of “AMBERD” Research Center, ASUE Branches at Scientific Board Session

The agenda of today’s session of ASUE Scientific Board headed by Koryun Atoyan, ASUE Rector, Professor, Board Chairman, was full.

Paruir Kalantaryan, Vice Rector of Educational-methodological Matters, reported  on implementation of Improvement Action Plan of ASUE  Activity. The  Vice  Rector presented the carried  out  and  ongoing  activities  of 10 standards of the  Improvement Plan.

Armen Grigoryan, Director  of “AMBERD” Research Center,  reported  on outcomes  of the  Center’s activities  in 2016  and  problems  in 2017, pointing out the  main activities – “AMBERD” Research Center  has  finished publishing and publicity of 5 research topics established in 2015, has published 6 monographs, 2 grant programs  have  been  carried  out, activities towards internationalization and international cooperation.

Authoritative organizations  have drawn attention to the  Center’s  activity: extensive reference was made  in report on “Think Tanks in CIS Countries  and Georgia: Structure, Objectives, Development Main Trends” by RISS. The Director mentioned that this achievement  was  gained due to Vardan Atoyan, former collaborator of the  Center, now the Vice Chairman of the  Center’s socially based  Expertise Board. Scientific  Board approved  the  Center’s  activity proposing new recommendations for improvement.

Samson Davoyan and Sos  Khachikyan, Directors  of ASUE Branches,  reported  on academic and  scientific-research activities.  Scientific Board approved the  activities  carried  out proposing recommendations for improvement.

Gagik Vardanyan, Vice Rector of Science and International Relations presented the issue of assuring applications of maintenance and development projects of fundamental financing infrastructure for scientific and technological activities which is aimed at the receipt of financing from the RA state budget in 2018.

Scientific  Board  approved  a number  of research works.

Paruir Kalantaryan reported on “Engagement Policy of Internal and External Stakeholders in ASUE Quality Assurance Process” and “The Procedure for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Structural and Substantive Changes to Ensure the Quality of Education”,  which were also approved.

Gagik Vardanyan  reported  another two issues, according to  which Scientific Board  discussed  and approved scientific  topics  and scientific  supervisors, as well as recommended for publication the  scientific  materials  of ASUE 26th conference on “Modern issues of  improving business environment  and  enlarging international economic cooperation in the RA”.
