Lecture hall in honor of Vladimir Harutyunyan, corresponding member of the RA National Academy of Sciences, was opened at ASUE

A lecture hall in honor of Professor Vladimir Harutyunyan, Corresponding Member of the RA National Academy of Sciences (NAS), was opened at ASUE Faculty of Economic Regulation and International Economic Relations, carrying the slogan "Future of my country is in this lecture hall".

The event was attended by Armen Grigoryan, ASUE Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Grigor Nazaryan, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Regulation and International Economic Relations, members of ASUE academic staff, family members as well as friends of Vladimir Harutyunyan.

Welcoming all the guests and those present, Armen Grigoryan congratulated the opening of the lecture hall and underlined the path of Vladimir Harutyunyan, highlighting the fact that he is the man of high recognition who left creative trajectory, legacy and heritage.

Then Professor Ashot Markosyan held a speech and underlined that Vladimir Harutyunyan was a real economist.

Grigor Nazaryan underlined that the new lecture hall is an excellent opportunity to keep the memory of the great economist and to transfer his advice and messages to new generations.

Then children of Vladimir Harutyunyan, Anna and Davit Harutyunyan, expressed their gratitude to the university leadership for accepting their idea and establishing this lecture hall.

"This initiative aims at keeping our father’s memory alive. I teach at the American University of Armenia and I know that classroom conditions are crucial: they shape a good environment, good education, and good youth," Davit Harutyunyan pointed out to asue.am.
