Model of Socio-Economic Development of Lori and Tavush Marzes of RA

A balanced regional development policy has been and remains one of the drivers for achieving economic development. Tackling the issues of uneven regional development makes it possible to solve not only economic, but also social, demographic and other related diverse issues. It lays solid foundations to overcome socio-economic polarization among the regions of the country, creates conditions for stable development based on the formation of the market mechanisms to overcome inequality among the people and to tackle the social discontent which makes them consider leaving the country permanently.

The aim of the study is to assess the existing potential of socio-economic development of Tavush and Lori marzes, to identify untapped opportunities and obstacles that the businesses face, to develop models and strategies for sustainable development, based on the priorities of businesses identified through the study of factors to improve the investment environment.
