Head of the Chair: Narine KHALATYAN, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor

History, operations

The specialty "Environmental Economics" of the Armenian State University of Economics was established in 1997, and in 1998, the only chair of environmental economics throughout the country was established by the demand of that time.

The Chair of Environmental Economics cooperates with the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the RA Ministry of Environment, the "Environmental Impact Testing Center" SNCO of the RA, the "Environmental Program Implementation Office", the Water Committee of the RA, the RA Food Safety Inspection Body, the Department of Agricultural Programs Development of the RA Ministry of Economy, Yerevan Municipality, the RA Cadaster Committee and a number of sector institutions.

By means of conducting lab classes in the above-mentioned institutions and organization of open classes at ASUE by specialists from these institutions, the chair contributes to the professional orientation of students in the labor market.
