History, operations
ASUE Chair of International Economic Relations was established on December 20, 1995. The vision of the chair is to become the leading chair providing innovative and practical knowledge and skills in modern international economic relations, building knowledge through applied research, and cooperating with private sector and research institutions by 2027. The mission of the chair is to educate and prepare highly qualified specialists with applied and analytical skills, guided by social and civic responsibilities and democratic principles to be competitive in the Republic of Armenia and international labor markets, as well as leaders who trigger changes in the society and economy. The chair is guided by the principles of academic freedom, close cooperation of education and the labor market, student-centered education and the transfer of applied knowledge, establishment of innovative settings for teaching and learning, as well as applies the best international experience to realize all the tasks set.

Scientific Research activities
In 2023 the scientific topics of the chair are "Issues of increasing the effectiveness of anti-crisis measures in RA" and "E-commerce as an imperative for international business".
The scientific research topics carried out by the staff of the chair are "Outbound labor migration: evaluation and reflection", "International competitiveness issues of landlocked countries (case of RA)", "Possibilities of diversification and growth of RA exports", "Socio-economic issues of even territorial development of RA", "Issues of sector development of RA economy and fiscal policy of the Customs Union under the conditions of membership", "Large-scale construction to ensure economic growth and even economic development by promoting the domestic production".
Around 30 scientific works are published by the staff of the chair annually.
