ASUE athletes at the 25th RA Student Sports Games
The 25th Annual RA Student Sports Games started in March with the generous support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. Active participation of students mastering sports from the University of Economics has been notable throughout the event.
We hosted championships in three sports: chess, shooting, and arm wrestling, with three more scheduled for April: the Republican Futsal League, Basketball Championship, and Table Tennis in Gyumri.
Hovhannes Gabrielyan, Head of ASUE Chair of Physical Education, Emergency Situations and Civil Defense underlined that this year the 30th anniversary of the Student Sports Federation of Armenia will be celebrated. "The Student Sports Games, the 25th one, have initially seen significant involvement from ASUE athletes," Hovhannes Gabrielyan pointed out. "Our university has made substantial contribution to the advancement of student sports."
During the March competitions, ASUE students excelled notably in the arm wrestling championship, featuring participation from 12 universities, each represented by 18 athletes. ASUE athletes have taken a total of 8 medals: 1 gold medal, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.
