Approval of documents, competition results, and reports at the session of the Scientific Council

ASUE Scientific Council has held its session. It was conducted by ASUE Rector, Chairman of the Scientific Council Diana Galoyan. The agenda comprised issues related to the discussion and approval of documents, competitions, reports and their approval.

The first item of the agenda addressed the change in the educational and methodical commission affiliated to the Scientific Council that was approved, and the new Head of the Division of Education Arsen Petrosyan will join the commission instead of the former head of the division Gayane Merdinyan.

Rector Diana Galoyan presented ASUE action plan of the development strategy 2023-2027, pointing out that it has ambitious goals approved during the previous session. The documents were approved, and it was underlined that the composition of the commission will be introduced later.

The next item on the agenda was the competition for the Head of the Chair of Macroeconomics, election of the dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Statistics, and award of academic titles of associate professors that was introduced by the Rector Diana Galoyan and the Chairman of the competition committee, Professor, Ph.D., Honorary Head of Chair Aram Sargsyan.

Members of the Scientific Council have elected the Associate Professor, PhD. Sos Khachikyan as the Head of the Chair of Macroeconomics, Associate Professor, PhD. Aghavni Hakobyan as the dean and awarded Tatevik Mkrtchyan and Anush Tumanyan the academic titles of associate professors. Rector Diana Galoyan pointed out that all 4 candidates are hard-working employees, excellent scientists, and mentioned that their further work will contribute to the increase of the effectiveness of the university's activities.

Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Armen Grigoryan, director of External Relations Department Lusine Danielyan, and Vice-rector for Science Tatul Mkrtchyan held speeches concerning activities of their departments and divisions.
