ASUE Alumnus - President of the ESU's Executive Committee

Gohar Hovhannisyan, alumnus of the Faculty of Marketing and Business Organization, ASUE, was elected President of the ESU's Executive Committee at the 79th  online meting. Armenian National Students' Association (ANSA) reported about this. Our alumnus has come a long way in the structure, enriched her managerial experience.

Since 2015, she was member of the General Secretariat of ANSA, then she was responsible for international relations and has led numerous national and international educational projects.  In 2017, Gohar was elected ESU's Executive Committee Member with the nomination of ANSA, she also applied for the same mandate in 2018 and was re-elected by a majority vote. In 2019, she was elected Vice President of the same structure with the nomination of ANSA.

We congratulate our alumnus on assuming the new post of President and wish her fruitful activity for the benefit of the students of the countries united under the structure.

Let’s recall, the European Students’ Union (ESU) is the umbrella organisation of 46 National Unions of Students (NUS) from 40 countries. The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level towards all relevant bodies and in particular the European Union, Bologna Follow Up Group, Council of Europe and UNESCO. Through its members, ESU represents almost 20 million students in Europe. Since 2012, ANSA is a full member of the European Student Union.
