There’s an upcoming seminar on teaching methodology on November 27 for the university’s academic staff. The trainers are ASUE lecturers Anush Gasparyan, Hasmik Hambardzumyan, Nora Ayvazyan, Robert Babayan, and Lusine Khurshudyan who participated in the “Fundamentals of Adult Learning and Education: Teaching Methodology” course organized jointly by DVV International in Armenia and YSUCenter for Continuing Education from July to October 2024. The course is based on the UNESCO-recognized Curriculum GlobAle standards. Out of 44 pre-registered participants, 22 successfully passed a preliminary qualification test and proceeded to the online module of the program. On successful completion of the online coursework, 13 participants attended a week-long in-person sessions from October 30 to November 3, including our lecturers. During these sessions, participants engaged in various practical exercises, interactive lectures, and simulation games, applying their newly acquired knowledge to different scenarios.

As the four-month course was highly informative, and the teaching methods introduced have been successfully applied in classrooms, our colleagues are planning to host a two-hour experience-sharing session and seminar, during which they will present the details of the program as well as the most applicable teaching methods for ASUE.

Please note, the seminar will take place on November 27 at 1:30 p.m. Follow the link to register!
