ASUE united young innovators: winners of international competition (photos)

Armenian State University of Economics has hold an International Youth Competition of Business Ideas and Projects "StartUp-Project" within the framework of the project "Higher Educational Institutions for Youth Entrepreneurship" (HEIFYE) of ERASMUS+ Program. Today, the participants, organizers and international jury of the competition were present at the opening ceremony of the competition at the ASUE big hall. Then 18 youth teams selected from the 87 applications presented their business presentations. There were representatives from Armenian and foreign (regional) educational institutions. The team consisted of 1-5 groups of young businessmen, students, post-graduate students aged 15-35 years, who had innovative business ideas and wishes to realize them. The international jury consisted of representatives of business circles and business education from the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union. After the presentation, the jury analyzed and evaluated the projects. So the 1st was the team "Doctor Math", whose members were from different Armenian universities (including ASUE), the 2nd was "Voskanyan Parfyum" team from ASUE, the 3rd was "Automated hydrofarm" team from Ukrainian university. Awards were also awarded in 4 nominations: "Most Innovative", "Most Youth", "Most Valuable", "Most Traditional". They were awarded with prizes and certificates. The first place team was awarded with a cup and a chance to participate in a business seminar. All the other teams received certificates of participation.
The ASUE Media and Public Relations Division interviewed a representative of the winning team, ASUE PhD student Ani Sargsyan, who mentioned that their project was an online educational platform of easy and attractive way of learning math for pupils. The team has worked for two years over this mobile app. Congratulations to the winners, organizers and participants.
Note, the International Youth Competition of Business Ideas and Projects "StartUp-Project" was held within the framework of the project "Higher Educational Institutions for Youth Entrepreneurship" (HEIFYE) of ERASMUS+ Program. The idea of the project is intensifying of youth entrepreneurship in the context of European integration both within countries and between the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union with use of the experience of creating successful business models in the Eastern Partnership countries. The aim of the «StartUp-Project» competition is the development of entrepreneurial initiative and creative thinking, enhancing business modeling skills and business planning, as well as assessment of business ideas for realism.
