The devastating earthquake of Spitak of 9-10 magnitude happened 34 years ago that spread on more than 40 percent of the country’s area, including provinces of Shirak, Lori, Aragatsotn and Tavush that killed 25000 people and left 500000 people homeless.

This earthquake has shaken the world and the governments of 113 countries, organizations and individuals assisted Armenia.

More than 3 decades have passed but not all the consequences of it are eliminated: the desire to live, to create, and to develop will help our nation overcome the current difficulties and find a new and prosperous way to advance and develop our country.

Every year, our nation and Armenians all over the world remember the victims of the earthquake and wish the world not to witness such devastating disasters.
