Discussion on the Priorities of Agricultural Development in Lori

Today, Heads of a number of farms in of Stepanavan were hosted at AMBERD research center within the frames of research on “Social-economic Development Model in Lori and Tavush Marzes”.
Zoya Tadevosyan, the program director, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Vahe Bulanikyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Samvel Avetisyan, senior expert of AMBERD, Ashot Kirakosyan, researcher discussed the priorities of agricultural development in Lori, issues on state support for the advancement of certain agricultural spheres and the possibility of introducing a guaranteed procurement system.
“Diligence and state consistent support to farms and farmers are the pillars for development philosophy of the village. Unlike other sectors of the economy, agricultural development is facing land restrictions (this is a natural limitation) and force majeure risks. The villager is not guilty of any of these risks. From the point of view of the State, agricultural development is a priority, national, food security problem”; Zoya Tadevosyan told media and public relations division referring to the discussed issues.
