The reporting period and upcoming programs were at the core of discussions and decisions of ASUE Scientific Council

Yesterday, on February 28, the first session of the Scientific Council of the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023, was held at the session hall of ASUE, which was chaired by Diana Galoyan, Rector of ASUE, the Chairman of the Scientific Council. After the approval of the agenda, the members of the Scientific Council also approved the work plan of the University’s Scientific Council for the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

Rector Diana Galoyan reported to the Scientific Council on the changes to be made in the member composition of the academic and publishing commissions, and the involvement of the Head of the quality assurance division, Associate Professor Karen Grigoryan, and "Amberd" expert, PhD, Professor Samvel Avetisyan in it, which were approved by the Council.

Then, the Scientific Council has held competitions to award a scientific title to an associate professor and held the election of 3 Heads of Chairs, which were reported by the Rector Diana Galoyan and the Chairman of the competition committee, PhD, Professor, Honorary Head of the Chair Aram Sargsyan. According to the regulations, candidates for the positions of Heads of Chairs introduced their strategic development plans.

Tatul Mkrtchyan, Vice-rector for Science of ASUE, introduced the procedures of planning, preparation and publication of educational and methodological literature of ASUE, mentioning that the major proposal refers to the organization of publications’ reviews to be published by "Economist" Publishing House through the science division, and underlined that it will further contribute to quality increase of publications.

Davit Hakhverdyan, director of "Amberd" Research Center, introduced the center's activity report for 2022, as well as 2023 program, to internal and external beneficiaries, and the list of research directions on offer and research topics approved by them.

Armen Grigoryan, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of ASUE, reported on the issues to restore the rights of 3 students, which were further approved. Then the Scientific Council approved dissertation topics and scientific supervisors, as well as recommended the publication of the manual designed by PhD Lilit Hakobyan, lecturer of the Chair of Languages, as well as the collection of lectures developed by the lecturer of the same chair, PhD Anna Gharslyan.
