Documentary Research about the Armenian-Japanese Friendship Was Presented by Japanese Teacher at ASUE

A scientific-cultural event about the Armenian-Japanese friendship was held at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute yesterday initiated by Japanese expert, Assistant Professor at the Chair of Finance, PhD in Economics Anna Vardanyan. She invited special guests: Jun Yamada Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, Second Secretary Rika Onodera, ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan, Director of the Department of External Relations Lusine Danielyan, Head of the Asia-Pacific Department, Head of North-East Asia Division of the MFA RA Mnatsakan Safaryan.

For the first time an exclusive documentary was presented to the audience, the origins of which are the episodes of the rescue of Armenians and Greeks from the Armenian Smyrna with the help of a Japanese ship during the Armenian Genocide, and at the end of the event the premiere of the animated film "Tokei Maru" took place, the exclusive right of showing of which was given to the ASUE lecturer by Greek animator Zakhos Samoladas.

The event was summed up with the speech of Ambassador Jun Yamada, who thanked Japanese expert Anna Vardanyan for the continuous revelations.

At the end of the meeting, the participants laid flowers at the memory of the innocent victims at the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
