Charle Malas, advisor to the RA Minister of Economy, lectured on "Dry-port: free economic zone" at the Armenian State University of Economics.

ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan, after the introduction of the guest, expressed her gratitude to him for visiting our university as a guest lecturer, assuring the students that they will hear a remarkable lecture and can pose questions to the speaker as well.

The speaker underlined that the goal of the project is to develop an industrial park with an adjacent logistics hub, solve logistic problems of Armenia, and promote its economic growth.

It is planned to develop a multi-functional and multi-modal hub in the vicinity of Shirak Airport to ensure continuous air, land and rail transportation.

The government of Armenia allocated 37 million dollars to this project and its implementation period is 5-7 years.

Charle Malas highlighted the fact that his mother is Armenian. She was born in Baghdad, Iraq, but got her education in Britain.
