Awareness-raising meeting on the protection of population during an earthquake

The employees of the rescue service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs held an awareness meeting today at ASUE on the topics of “Rules of behavior of the population during an earthquake” and “Organization of population evacuation".

The purpose of the meeting, organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was to inform the population on their behavior during and after the earthquake, and how to organize the evacuation works.

Lieutenant Colonel Khachik Shmavonyan, senior instructor of the Department of Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and senior lieutenant Tatul Atalyan answered many questions posed by the students after the thematic presentations.

Siranush Harutyunyan, the person responsible for ES and CP functions of ASUE, expressed her gratitude to the guests, and underlined that such courses contribute to the strengthening of students' knowledge, and it would be beneficial if they were continuous.
