University sports advancement to be in the center of attention
Hovhannes Gabrielyan, Head of ASUE Chair of Physical Education, ES and CP, President of the Student Sports Federation of Armenia, head coach of the Armenian Techball team, has recently returned from Spain. On March 16-19, the national team of our country took part in a qualifying tournament within the frames of the European Teqball Tour in Madrid and achieved satisfactory results. As a result of improving the rating, our athletes have got the opportunity to take part in the 3rd European Games to be held in Krakow, Poland this summer.
The head of the Armenian delegation, Hovhannes Gabrielyan, had meetings with the management of the University Sports Association of Spain, reached further agreements on cooperation, introduced his vision on the development of university sports, also referred to the successes of ASUE athletes, underlined the consistent efforts of our university in the direction of promoting sports and healthy lifestyle among students.
Meanwhile, ASUE is the first Armenian university that joined the European University Sports Association and is the host and organizer of the European University Chess Championship to be held in Yerevan in 2025.
