The economics essay competition has gathered future economists at ASUE

Today, three dozen students from high schools of our capital and provinces have been hosted at the alma mater, University of Economics. The adolescents were at ASUE to develop and design their essays in Economics Essay Competition, which has been held for the third year in a row, expanding the geography and involving a large number of schoolchildren.

Welcoming the participants, ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan underlined that ASUE is the main institution preparing economists in Armenia, later added that such events are important not only for strengthening the university and applicant relations, but also for increasing students' motivation to get higher education. The rector also informed those present that in case of winning the competition and getting enrolled in the University of Economics, the participants who have taken the first 3 places of the competition will receive a scholarship of 100,000 AMD each, as well as there will also be incentive prizes.

Then, the selection of essay topics took place (by lottery) in the presence of the rector, after which the participants started their creative works on "How to strengthen the economy of the regions of Armenia" or "Paper money or electronic money?" "What is the preferred payment method?"

It should be pointed out that the winners of the republican competition of economics essays will be decided by a committee consisting of 5 members of the academic staff of ASUE. In the assessment process, preference will be given to the works that best reflect the requirements of the essay: relevance of the essay to the topic, creative spark, motivation, logical argumentation, and language accuracy.
