ASUE Students as European Powerlifting Champions

On March 20-24, ASUE students Erik Khachatryan (2nd year, Faculty of Marketing and Business Organization) and Misha Khachatryan (3rd year, Faculty of Economic Regulation and International Economic Relations) have won at the XPC version of the European Powerlifting Championship, taking gold medals in Shedlec, Poland.

Erik Khachatryan took gold medals and earned the esteemed title of four-time European champion. A multiple record holder in the Guinness Book and four-time world champion, he dedicated his triumph to the memory of his friend, Sipan Soghomonyan, who tragically lost his life during the 44-day war in 2020.

Misha Khachatryan also took two gold medals. As a multiple champion of Armenia, a master of sports, and the champion of the powerlifting championship of Eurasian countries, his achievement underscores his mastery in the sport.

Both Erik and Misha are to compete in upcoming international championships scheduled to take place in the USA, Spain, and Georgia.
