ASUE students have an unprecedented opportunity within the frames of the project "EU and EAEU: between conflict and competition, convergence and cooperation (EUCON)" to take part in the international summer school "EU and EAEU" organized at the University of Economics.

At the opening ceremony, while welcoming the participants, guests from Europe and the organizers, ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan wished them to organize their activities effectively and expressed hope that participants will obtain comprehensive economic, political, and legal knowledge and skills concerning the EU and EAEU.

Hanes Meisner, ASUE partner, lecturer at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences (Austria), coordinator of the EUCON project, expressed gratitude to ASUE for the hospitality, underlining the fact that he highly appreciates the efforts of the International Relations Division of the university, as well as Professors Albert Hayrapetyan and Susanna Aghajanyan, who are actively involved in the project.

Albert Hayrapetyan, lecturer of ASUE Chair of International Economic Relations, has also welcomed those present, addressing the establishment of EUCON, the scientific work and publications implemented by ASUE professors within the frames of the project, and highlighted the fact that the EU has approved ASUE’s report on Jean-Monnet module program on "EU policy, regulations and administrative structure (EU-PPP)" being carried out at ASUE.

After the welcoming speeches, the summer school has started in two directions: political and economic.

During these days, participants will study the EU-EAEU relations, their impact on Armenia and other countries of the region, and will get familiar with the latest developments. Lectures, seminars and debates will be conducted by the representatives of partner universities, members of the EUCON program and representatives of state institutions.

The activities of the international summer school will be finalized on June 9.
