July - International University Sports Events Month: ASUE Students are among the Delegation

Armenian athletes, including ASUE, will actively participate in a number of university sports events to be held in abroad in July. Hovhannes Gabrielyan, Head of the Chair of Physical Training, Emergency Situation and Civil Defense, Secretary General of the Armenian Student Sport Federation, Member of the Board of the European University Sports Association and Auditor, submitted detailed information about the upcoming great international sport events.

On July 3-14, Napoli welcomes the World 30th Summer Universiade, which will be attended by 10 thousand athletes from 160 countries. Armenia will be represented at the Universiade with a delegation of 19 members, headed by Hovhannes Gabrielyan. Armenian athletes will take part in 7 sports championship, Levon Aghasyan and Vladimir Harutyunyan, ASUE students of the Faculty of Marketing and Business Organization, are among the 14 athletes.

On July 14-23, Portuguese city of Braga will host the European Universities Futsal Championship, and Hovhanness Gabreilyan will attend it as a representative of European Association and a special delegate.

The international university sports events in July will be summed up by the European Chess Championship to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on July 23-29. Tigran Harutyunyan, Grandmaster, Master’s degree student of the Faculty of Finance, and Tigran Petrosyan, International Master, will represent ASUE. Hovhannes Gabrielyan will head the ASUE delegation.
