The "Lecturer Cup-2023" has ended: names of the strongest teams and athletes are known

The "Lecturer Cup" inter-university sports games, which have been held for more than 10 years on the initiative of the University of Economics and the Student Sports Federation of Armenia (SSF), are over. This year, the annual university sports event took place from January 31 to February 3 and was distinguished not only by the number of participating teams, but also by their unprecedented activity. About 200 professors and employees of 15 Armenian universities took part in 5 types of sports: shooting, table tennis, rapid chess, pull-up from the platform and rope pull-up.

The sports festival ended with a festive awarding ceremony. Armen Grigoryan, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of ASUE, and Hovhannes Gabrielyan, the organizer of the event, Head of ASUE Chair of Physical Education, ES and CD, President of UMFF, awarded medals, cups and souvenirs to the teams and participants who won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the championship.

Congratulating the winners and participants of the "Lecturer Cup-2023", Hovhannes Gabrielyan shared his hope that this sports event carries out its main mission in the process of popularizing sports in the universities of the republic for almost a decade. "I am sure that year by year we will further expand our borders by including a larger number of athletes and sports fans in these competition championships," Hovhannes Gabrielyan pointed out.

According to YSU representative, master of sports Ashot Sargsyan, similar championships are an additional incentive to work more energetically, and to transfer that energy further to students.
