Modern Computer Lab Opens at ASUE College of Finance and Economics

A modern computer lab was opened today at the ASUE College of Finance and Economics thanks to the initiative and financial support of the Association of Accountants of Armenia. The lab will serve students majoring in accounting.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia; Zhora Sargsyan, Head of the Labour and Employment Department of the same ministry; Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the Association of Accountants of Armenia and President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia; Mary Badalyan, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing at ASUE; Tatul Movsisyan, President of the Chamber of Auditors and Expert Accountants of Armenia; Ellen Manaseryan, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia; as well as guests, college lecturers, and students.

Lusine Karapetyan, head of the college, welcomed the attendees and expressed her gratitude to the Association for the collaboration hopeful that such initiatives would enhance vocational education. "Modern education cannot be separated from the business environment, and our partnership with the Association aims to ensure competitive education," she said.

Vahagn Hambardzumyan stressed that the computer lab is not a charity but an investment in training qualified professionals. He noted that employers today need highly skilled specialists, and the best way to produce them is through quality education. Hambardzumyan also highlighted the fruitful collaboration between the Association and the University of Economics and the College of Finance and Economics, for which he expressed his gratitude.

In his remarks, Ruben Sargsyan emphasized that human capital is paramount for the Government of Armenia, and all reforms are directed towards this goal. He pointed out that the collaboration between education, business, and the labor market is one of the best models for training qualified specialists.

Ellen Manaseryan noted that education is key to creating value-driven citizens and making the world a better place. Tatul Movsisyan underscored that the opening of the computer lab is a practical investment in ensuring quality education and paving the way to success.

Mary Badalyan, reflecting on the long-term collaboration with the Association, acknowledged the potential for even greater effectiveness. She noted that such investments in vocational education will achieve their goals, as college graduates clearly stand out with their knowledge and skills.
