Final meeting of "Ararat" program started at ASUE

“National University-Labour Market Network“ conference of  Tempus "Ararat" program "UNIVERSITY - EMPLOYER" ARMENIAN COORDINATION AGENCY started at ASUE center for international  today. The head of Quality Assurance Division Nerses Gevorgyan, employees of the division, the head of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation Ruben Topchyan, program partners were present at the meeting.

Nerses Gevorgyan opened the meeting, noting that he was glad to host the final stage of the program at ASUE. According to him, today both the Armenian and European higher education had a number of challenges: program "Ararat" was aimed precisely at this. The ultimate goal of the program, according to Nerses Gevorgyan, was working with all the stakeholders of education, providing a link between education and the labor market and implementing educational reforms based on the requirements of the labor market.

Ruben Topchyan the representative of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation presented the structure and regulatory frameworks, operational documents (regulations, terms of reference, the strategic plans), then answered the questions from the audience. Further, the representative of the same Foundation Ella Karagulyan gave a lecture on the theme: "Development of the database and tools to strengthen the labor market-university ties".

In an interview with ASUE Media and Public Relations Division Nerses Gevorgyan summarized the purpose and the results of the program, he said: "The main objective of the "Ararat” program is to strengthen the ties between the university and the labor market, which will develop training programs corresponding to the requirements of time. As a result of the program, units, which strengthen the links with the labor market, were created at our University”.

Recall that the coordinator of the three-year program "Ararat" is the Armenian State University of Economics.

Tomorrow, on March 31, the final forum of the program will be held at ASUE starting from 9:30am.
