“Think tanks” in the current political processes: the presentation of the study in ASUE

 ASUE boardroom today hosted the first interim report of the “Think tanks” in the current political processes” scientific and educational group, which operates under the supervision of associate professor Vardan Atoyan. The presentation was attended by ASUE Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and External Relations Gagik Vardanyan, the director of "Amberd” Research Center Samvel Avetisyan, representatives of ASUE scientific staff and students. In his opening speech, Gagik Vardanyan noted that the topic of this research is very important for our country as the brain centers are the centers that generated ideas, suggest solutions. Vice-rector emphasized the role of “Think tanks” in the political process.

Head of the group Vardan Atoyan briefly presented the main directions of activity of the group. According to Vardan Atoyan, they have already practiced in this field of study in research center "Amberd" and have been examining the role of “Think tanks” in the current political process,

The members of this scientific group are associate Professor Sofia Ohanyan and senior assistant Arpine Malkdjyan.

Today, a report was made by Sofia Ohanyan. She mainly examined the “Think tanks” as expert-research structures, mentioned its symptoms. The think tanks were also considered in the political process, it was told about the methods of developing political solutions.

Summing up the presentation of the study, supervisor of the scientific-educational group Vardan Atoyan noted that the development of “Think tanks” in the world shows new trends, in particular, the connection between universities and think tanks.
