Our student became the world champion in arm-wrestling

World arm-sports championship took place in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur from September 27 to October 3. Freshman of ASUE Finance Department Vahan Ter-Balyan won the first prize. In the weight category up to 65 kilograms among youths under 18 years old he won the world title on the left hand and was second on the right hand. Thus our student won two medals.

Note that arm-wrestler is a citizen of Russian Federation and was representing Russia in the championship. Vahan was born in Javakhk. ASUE Media and Public Relations Division had a talk with the champion of the world, revealed his preferences, athletic achievements, etc. According to Vahan, he began to practice arm-sports when he was 14 years old.

On the question where does he imagine his future, he clearly said that in Armenia. Our students wants to live and work at home.

Before Vahan turned 18 years old he managed to win the silver medal of European championship, twice a champion of Russia, and many other titles. Overall he won 34 medals, and was awarded the title of Master of Sports.
