100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide: commemorate and longevity event

Today, ASUE students discussed the Armenian Genocide again and again they honored the memory of the innocent victims and made an extensive reference to the historical past, never-healing events.

Event organizers and participants were 2nd year students of Economics major of Regulation of Economy and International Economic Relations department supervised by Associate Professor of the same chair Narine Khalatyan.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and External Relations Gagik Vardanyan, dean of the department of Regulation of Economy and International Economic Relations Atom Margaryan and the head of the Philosophy and Armenian History chair Aram Sargsyan attended the event.

In her opening speech, Narine Khalatyan said that their goal was to give an honor to the memory of the innocent people and raise a voice for the sake of historical justice.

The students presented materials, resolutions, and documents on Genocide, as well as historical references to Western Armenian prosperous towns and villages, where the mass deportation and genocide was held: Zeytun, Kharberd, Cebastya, Adana, Van, Kars...

At the end vice-rector, Gagik Vardanyan praised the students for undertaking this important and instructive event. He called to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide by high performance and charity, along with territorial claims to love and keep what they have.

Professor Aram Sargsyan urged young people to recognize and remember the past, but as revenge to adopt studying and building a country of winners.
