“1 STEP FROM HEI TO LABOR MARKET” JOB FAIR: KORYUN ATOYAN ATTENDED IT (photos)

Today,  “1 step  from HEI  to  labor  market”  interuniversity  job  fair launched   at  Yerevan State  University. Over 80 organizations,   representatives   of  different  sectors  of  economy  participated  in it.

Armenian State  University of Economics  is  one  of  the  organizers. Participating companies   presented  information  regarding their  activity, offered job, internship  programs  and  other  services.

The solemn opening ceremony of  the  job fair  was held  at  the  foyer of  YSU,  which  was attended by YSU Rector  and   officials.

ASUE  Rector,  Professor Koryun Atoyan also  attended  the  solemn  opening  ceremony. First the  RA hymn  was  performed,  then  speeches  were  performed by YSU  Rector  Aram Simonyan, Deputy  Minister of  Labor    and   Social  Affairs  Sona  Harutyunyan, Rector of  National Agrarian University of Armenia Arshaluys Tarverdyan, President of American University of Armenia Bruce M. Boghosian, YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Affairs Ruben Markosyan.

ASUE  Rector  Koryun Atoyan  performed  speech and  highlighted the  role  of  the  event. Our  University  Head  mentioned  that ASUE  also  organized  job fair last  year,  but this  one  was  distinguished  by  its format.

“I highlighted relations between employers  and  HEI,  they  contribute  to  prepare  specialist  who  meet  the requirements  of  labor  market. Note, that  it’s  already  several  years  that Armenian State  University of  Economics cooperates with employers  of  state  and  private  sectors,  we  strengthen  University-employer  relations”; mentioned  Koryun Atoyan and  wished  successful  working  process.

 Koryun Atoyan took a tour  around the  pavilions,   was  in  ASUE  pavilion,  which  represented  information on  academic  programs, learning   process  of  British  School   of  Business (BSB).

Our  pavilion is  presented  by  a  representative  of  BSB  Lusine Danielyan,  Head of ASUE  Foreign Relations  Division Vard Ghukasyan.  The  representative  of BSB  told  us that interest  towards  our  pavilion was  great, the  main  visitors  were young  people; “It’s  important  that BSB  enables  to  combine education and work, as the  lessons  are  conducted  on Friday, Saturday and Sunday”.

Head of  ASUE Foreign Relations  Division Vard Ghukasyan mentioned  that information on admission procedure, academic programs,  tuition fee  of  BSB  was being submitted  to  the  visitors.

Acting Head of  ASUE  Career  and  Marketing Center Ernest Davtyan  informed  that our  University, as an organizer  of the event, had  done a  lot of  work, combined a  number of  organizations, employers.

After solemn opening  ceremony, a  republican workshop-discussion  on “The educational system of Armenia and the Labor Market: Problems and steps to enhance cooperation”  launched at YSU  Hall  after Palyans.

Note, that  the  job  fair  is  organized  by YSU, ASUE, Yerevan Brusov State  University of Languages  and  Social Sciences, American University in Armenia,  Pedagogical  University, Agrarian, Engineering, Architecture and Construction Universities. The  job fair  is  held  by  support  of the RA MES  and  Ministry of  Labor  and  Social Affairs. Youth Foundation of Armenia   also  supported the  job fair.

Additional Information: The  press realizeof  YSUDepartment of Public Relations and Information submitted  an information:  that’s  according to cooperation memorandum  signed on May 27, 2014 between  the mentioned  Universities  each  year one  of them  should  organize job fair  for  students  of  partner  Universities.
