ASUE Best Student Is Known (photos)

Award ceremony  of ASUE “Best Student – 2017” was  held  at ASUE  Big Hall,  which  was conducted by ASUE Student Council supported  by Youth Foundation of Armenia. The  event  was  attended  by Koryun Atoyan, ASUE Rector, Professor, Taron Margaryan, the  Mayor  of Yerevan, Karen Avagyan, Coordinator of Board of Trustees Youth Foundation of Armenia, RA Member of Parliament,  Maksim Manukyan, Honored Master of Sports, Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion.

Hovhannes  Harutyunyan, ASUE SC President, giving the  start  of  the  event, stated that the  basis of  this initiative have been laid down during the reign of the former Student Council President Sergey Kharatyan and by continuing and developing the tradition, they are sure that such steps encourage and motivate students.

Then Koryun Atoyan congratulated World Youth  and  Students  Days and thanked Taron Margaryan  and  Karen Avagyan for  attending the event  of  choosing  our  University best  student. Rector’s  speech  is  available here.  Koryun Atoyan  announced  the name of “Best Student Engaged in Scientific Activities” – Mari Yeghiazaryan.

Sevak Khachatryan, Vice  Rector  of Students  and  Alumni Affairs, before announcing  the  name  of best  student having high advancement, noted that today’s  students  need more  appreciation and  evaluation  and it’s worthy  to  mention that such events are increasing year by year. Anna  Bleyan was  known as  “Best Student  Having High Advancement”.

Maksim Muradyan, Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion, noted  that he’ aware  that our  University  is distinguished  by sport achievements  and the  Champion announced the  name  of  “Best Student-sportsman” – Vahan Ter-Balyan.

Karen Avagyan, Coordinator of Board of Trustees Youth Foundation of Armenia, RA Member of Parliament, announced  the  name  of  “Best Student Engaged  in Public Activity” – Ani Ghazaryan.

Taron Margaryan, the  Mayor  of Yerevan, announced  the  name  of “ASUE Best Student -2017” mentioning that during his student years, when  we had a six-year-old independent  country, they were trying to get education and to upgrade the University. The  Mayor  stated  that today all necessary conditions have been provided in Universities to get high-quality education and it’s highly important to use the years of study for getting high-quality education. “ASUE Best Student -2017” is Marieta Baghdasaryan.
