YSU IS 95 YEARS OLD: RECTOR KORYUN ATOYAN CONGRATULATED
May 16, 1919, was a historical day in Yerevan State University’s life: it is set as a birthday celebration, as on that day the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Armenia adopted a decision on founding University in Yerevan. Since that day the University has developed and passed a way giving birth to new centers of higher education, has flattened way for some outstanding scholars, remarkable figures, thousands of highly qualified professionals.
The largest University of our country is celebrating its birthday on these days and at the same time summarizes its achievements, great contribution.
Serial of measures has launched at Mother University since June 10: conferences, exhibitions , meetings, solemn session, festival of poetry, gala concert, cultural other measures were held within the framework of it.
On June 11, Koryun Atoyan, ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor, on behalf of ASUE Faculty staff, collaborators, congratulated Aram Simonyan, Rector of Yerevan State University, Doctor of History, Professor, and all members of the University.
Here is the Rector’s message:
“Our University also sees its joy in this beautiful jubilee, as it has derived from the “Mother Temple of Education”, has created its way and never forgets the one which gave a birth and provided maintenance.
Celebrating the 95th anniversary, our beloved University continues to be young, worldly: confirming its proud existence as a firm smithy of mind and soul education.
We are proud today to mention that the University has had great achievements, has multiplied its strength, energy, power during these years: pursuing the spirit of the time, and most demanding challenges.
The largest University in the Republic prepares specialists for many areas and sectors, the education quality of Mother University is comparable to the highest standards.
We are sure, our beloved University will continue to serve our people and our country, as we aim to inseminate love in Armenian people towards education.
Let me once again congratulate You and wish scientific, educational success and productive activity”.
