“OPEN CLASS” AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING
An “Open Class” was conducted at the Department of Accounting and Auditing
(the 1st year students of Audit specialty) on April 11 by Arthur Chorukhyan, adviser of “Artsakhbank” CJSC Board Chairman. The latter was invited to ASUE by the Dean of the mentioned Department.
Liana Grigoryan, the Head of the Chair of Financial Accounting, Sona Ghazaryan, Vice-Dean, Vahan Babayan, lecturer, students participated in the class.
Vahan Babayan introduced the guest, mentioning that he was also ASUE alumni, he had held various positions, had great experience in bank auditing.
Arthur Chorukhyan highlighted theoretical knowledge, then the skills of useing them in practice. He presented the history and development of the banking system in Armenia, spoke about emergence of bank auditing, types of audit (internal and external) audit nature, objectives, tasks and other information. Note that the class was held in an interactive atmosphere. At the end of class Arthur Chorukhyan expressed satisfaction to lecturers for such prepared students.
In the interview with ASUE Media and Public Relations Division Ashot Matevosyan mentioned that they highlighted the way of conducting classes by experienced specialist of the appropriate field.
“We try to fill the students’ knowledge introducing special guests’ (professionals’) experience. Student-employer live communication is set up during such kind of meetings”; said the Dean.
