DEVELOPMENT ISSUES OF THE RA STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT WERE DISCUSSED
Regular scientific seminar entitled “Development Issues of the RA State and Local Government” was conducted within the framework of “State and Local Government” direction at ASUE “AMBERD” Research Center. Gagik Vardanyan the Vice-Rector of Science and International Relations, Samvel Avetisyan the Director of “AMBERD” Research Center and the staff, lecturers, PhDs participated in the seminar.
Yuri Suvaryan the Director of the research direction, the Head of the Chair of Management at ASUE, Academician of the RA National Academy of Sciences referred to the topic’s modernity and importance and mentioned that our country had 1650 years old statehood during its 5000 years old history, and, unfortunately, that period wasn’t equal to the potential of our people. He mentioned that conducting “Development Issues of the RA State and Local Government” study their research team tried to analyze, to evaluate the nowadays system of State Government, to characterize the effectiveness, and, if they had an opportunity to continue the research, in the next stage they would present appropriate proposals, reforms for the implementation of it.
Then Ruben Hayrapetyan the speaker of the seminar, Candidate in Economics, Associate Professor at the Chair of Management spoke in detail about the issues of Local Government in the Republic of Armenia.
“This issue is important for at least two terms: State and Local Government system should become more effective and a such kind of state system of Public Administration should be set up to exclude the loses of statehood and to provide the progressive development of the third Republic of Armenia”; said Yuri Suvaryan while speaking with ASUE Media and Public Relations Division.
Samvel Avetisyan the Director of “AMBERD” Research Center considered the discussed topic as an important and urgent one, noting that everybody was interested in it and we expect a comprehensive result of the research work.
