COMPETATIVE RELATIONS AS A SUBJECT OF STUDY AT “AMBERD” RESEARCH CENTER
Regular scientific seminar was held at “AMBERD” Research Center today within the framework of “Competition and Regulation" direction headed by Mikael Melkumyan, Doctor in Economics, Professor. Gagik Vardanyan the Vice-Rector of Science and International Relations, Samvel Avetisyan the Director of the Research Center, lecturers, PhDs participated in the seminar.
Mikayel Melkumyan presented the problems of the Chair research, then referred to the expected results: improvement of legislation, competitiveness, increasing the competitiveness of the country, increasing the size of export, outputting qualified product according to international standards, regional balanced development.
The members of research team (mainly PhDs) presented reports.
Arthur Arakelyan Candidate in Economics presented insurance data in Armenia, conclusions and suggestions regarding his studies, Suren Parsyan PhD presented a report entitled “The Problems of Legal Regulation of Abuse of Dominant Position” referring the RA Law about “Protection of Economic Competition”, suggested to make several changes and additions.
Margarita Avetisyan a lecturer referred to mining industry, then Vardan Marutyan PhD presented his studies regarding the sectors of regulation of tax relations and civil aviation. The representatives of the research team presented suggestions and conclusions.
Sergey Melkumyan Doctor in Economics, Professor referred to the RA Industry, particularly mining industry, specifying the existing problems associated with the raw materials’ development. The Professor suggested to undertake appropriate measures, which enable to use the maximum of raw materials polluting a minor part of it.
At the end of the seminar Gagik Vardanyan the Vice-Rector expressed satisfaction noting that the research team had conducted a great work. Referring to the conducted research the Vice-Rector outlined the role of proposals and mentioned that the latters should be so valuable that the Government has a demand for them.
Samvel Acetisyan the Director of “AMBERD” Research Center concluded the seminar noting that serious research were being conducted at the Center, good ideas were being raised, which should be presented to the public.
